A BIT ABOUT ME
Hi! My name is Liz, and I am the founder of Lupine Living, a Holistic Health and Wellbeing company, which combines medical knowledge, ancient philosophy and complimentary therapies to help individuals and companies develop the skills and resilience to manage the day to day stresses of modern life, and gain a deeper understanding of self as part of the pathway to living a more content and peaceful life. Outside of work I'm Mum to two gorgeous but oh so noisy children, and my beautiful cat Steve.

I am a passionate long time yogi with over 25 years of practice on and off the mat, and 20 years experience as a Registered Adult Nurse. During my career as a nurse I have worked predominantly with people with incurable neurological conditions and their families, which has given me invaluable insight into, and practical experience of, supporting people through incredibly traumatic and stressful periods. Alongside my nursing qualifications I have sought out further training in Person Centred Counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Through working with people as they undergo treatment and supporting them at the end of their lives, I have been privileged to see first hand the real difference that complementary therapies can and often do have, in managing both physical and psychological symptoms.

Living in London for many years has afforded me the opportunity to try many different styles of yoga, including Ashtanga, Jivamukti, Bikram, Iyengar, Yin, and Nidra, and my classes have evolved to contain a fusion of influences and elements from across the genres, lovingly crafted, combined and delivered with my own special twist!

The first lockdown brought challenges for many of us, and I found myself unable to work as a nurse due to my previous diagnosis of Hodgkin Lymphoma. Thankfully we had moved to Suffolk just before the lockdown restrictions came into force, so the kids and I spent the summer splashing in streams, finding the perfect sticks, and picking blackberries. I also found the time to re-take my Shoden, or Reiki First Degree, and became an Independent Consultant for Neals Yard Remedies Organics. I was eventually able to to return to the NHS workforce and have worked in a variety of settings in Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket. I am currently a Clinical Nurse Specialist on the Frailty Team at West Suffolk Hospital.

Since I started Lupine Living my classes have grown from strength to strength. Many mums join me for pregnancy yoga and carry on through to baby yoga, adventurous babies yoga, and my evening class yoga for mums. I'm also now seeing mums mums back in class with their second and third babies and it's such a joy to see families grow. I've also added classes for Dads and collaborated with some wonderful local local wellness professionals to run retreats.
See you on the mat soon! Liz xx
